So I'm actually 90% done with Sakura now. All I really need to work on is her gloves, and her neck scarf. I basically just made the top with an 70's sailor shirt pattern. The pleated skirt I made from a YouTube video tutorial. I got the turtleneck from Goodwill, and just altered it. Yay for thrifting and couponing! I've been really living up to this lifestlye. Today, I did a major haul of different cosplay items that I needed. I picked up 2 packs of EVA foam (on sale at Harbor Frieght), Heat Gun (clearance), and some fabric for 2 different cosplays for all under $40. The fabric I bought was for my Raynie cosplay, which is a beautiful Royal Blue Tafetta; For my Sakura cosplay, I finished it up by buying some Red Velvet for the gloves, and some Yellow Spandex for the scarf. My peeps at Jo-Ann's always hook me up with the best coupons, and it's always greatly appreciated! Ah, my Sunday will be jam-packed. I will be finishing up my Sakura cosplay, as well as starting to play around with the EVA foam and Worbla. Oh! And I almost forgot, I am doing a genderbent Rick Grimes for a costume contest being held at my job for Halloween. My friend (who has awesome dreads!) will be dressing up as Michonne. Words cannot describe how excited I am for the contest! I must win and represent for us cosplayers! I'm going to be as accurate as humanly possible with this cosplay. I already got my patches and name badge, and I'm currently waiting on my 2 sheriff's badges to come in. I'm not going to lie, this cosplay is a little more expensive than intended, but for the sake of accuracy, it's totally worth it! I absolutley love the Walking Dead!
